New Gym/Auditorium Groundbreaking

We are very excited to start the construction of a gym/auditorium on campus. The old original cafeteria/girls' dorm/boys' dorm has been dismantled and the machines are beginning the work of preparing the site. Donation are always welcome.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Thursday, November 5. Students from M6 provided the special music. Pastor Danai - Mission Educational superintendent presented a short worship followed by the turning of the sod. It is hoped that the building will be completed before the end of the school year - March 3.

Week of Prayer

During August we had our regular Week of Prayer for staff and students. This term, Dr. Boonrat from Thailand Adventist Mission talked to the Matayom (High School) students about the gifts of the Spirit. The students took part in song services, special musics, health talks, and in creating displays in front of the church. Each evening the students were treated to rice porridge and the cafeteria served only vegetarian food for the week.

CAA high school football team competed in the Area 2 competition. There were 9 teams competing together from Area Two, which is one of six areas in Chiang Mai province.

Our boys played well and won every game. The last game was a real challenge as the boys on the other team were taller than our boys, but the hours that our boys have played together proved a real advantage for them. Now they will proceed to the provincial championships in Chiangmai. They will be competing agains some very tough teams, so are trying to improve their skills.

Branch Sabbath Schools

Every Sabbath afternoon students from the academy conduct children's programs in about four different places. The pictures here show the English Branch Sabbath School in our village. We have a great time singing English songs and learning to speak English.
After the English Branch Sabbath School another group headed to the Maetaeng Hospital. One of our students had contacted malaria during the break and was being treated in the hospital. We sang songs for him, quoted Bible verses, prayed for him, and just spent some quality time with him. While this was going on, other visitors from the hospital came by to listen to the music. A man came and asked us to pray for his wife. Another lady came and asked us to pray for her grandson. While we were praying for her baby grandson another lady came up and asked us to pray for her grandson. We felt truly blessed to be able to bring God's healing hand into that hospital. Our student has since made a complete recovery and started school again.

Students at line-up

Every morning the students line up in the courtyard of the administration/classroom building to sing the national anthem, raise the flag, repeat the mission of the school, pray, and listen to the announcements of the day. Then it's off to classes for the rest of the day.

Wai Kru Day

Wai Kru Day is a special day for students in Thailand giving them the opportunity to thank and pay respect to their teachers. The students make beautiful arrangements that have meaning to their education.
